Pearl Continental Bhurban is a 194-room resort on a pine ridge about 15 minutes from Murree, and it is the only five-star hotel in the area. It offers more on-site facilities than anywhere else in the Murree hills: two pools, a spa, six restaurants, a cinema and sports courts. Guest reviews are mixed, though, with praise for the setting and views and recurring complaints about upkeep and consistency. This page draws on the hotel's own description and on published guest feedback, since we have not stayed there ourselves.
Below, you will find the rooms, the facilities, the golf course next door, what guests say, and a plain view of who should and should not book. For other places to stay nearby and typical price bands, see our guide to hotels in Bhurban.

Rooms
The hotel lists standard, deluxe and executive rooms in king, queen and twin layouts, plus junior, executive, family, deluxe, royal and presidential suites, and duplex suites with and without valley views. The valley view is the thing to ask for, because a non-valley room loses the main reason to come here.
Rates depend heavily on the season and the booking channel. In 2026, one booking site listed standard rooms from about USD 89 and deluxe from about USD 160, while guest-reported prices on Tripadvisor ran from USD 124 to 256 for a standard room. Those figures cannot all describe the same dates, so use them only as a guide, check the hotel's own rate and ask what breakfast and taxes include. Breakfast is served at Nadia and offers Pakistani and continental choices, according to the hotel.
Restaurants
The hotel names six restaurants. Four are described on its site: Tai-Pan for Pan-Asian food, Khyber Hujra for Shinwari cuisine, Nadia for buffets, and Chef's Garden, which is described as farm to table. A cafe and a terrace are also mentioned in guest reviews.
Guest opinion on the food is divided. Some guests praise the setting and the choice, while others say quality varies and that restaurants were closed without clear notice. If a particular restaurant matters to your plans, ask the hotel which are open on your dates, especially in low season.
Facilities and activities
The listed facilities are broad:
- indoor and outdoor swimming pools;
- a full-service spa with sauna and steam room, and a jacuzzi;
- a gym, and tennis and basketball courts;
- a cinema with a 12D motion simulator;
- a kids' play area and hiking trails;
- an amphitheatre for events, banquet halls and a helipad.
That makes it one of the few places in the Murree hills where children can be kept busy without leaving the property, which suits families when the weather turns. For walking outside the grounds, see our Bhurban guide.
Golf
Chinar Golf Club is a nine-hole course next to the hotel, run by the hotel and described by several sources as sitting at about 6,800 feet, among the highest courses in Pakistan. Hotel guests are said to have priority, and non-residents may play subject to availability. We could not find reliable green-fee figures, so call the hotel or check its website for fees, tee times and club hire. The season is generally spring to autumn, and monsoon weather can make the fairways wet.
What guests say
The most recent guest reviews we could read give a clear pattern.
Praised:
- views of the surrounding hills and a peaceful setting;
- the pools, trails, spa and tennis court, which attract families;
- individual staff, with one guest reporting a bag of cash and valuables returned intact.
Criticised:
- upkeep: reports of dusty rooms, stained linen and outdated furnishings;
- inconsistent service, including restaurants closing without clear notice;
- value for money, with some guests feeling that prices are higher than the standard of the rooms.
The hotel's own site quotes 4.5 stars on Google and 4.7 on Tripadvisor, while Tripadvisor itself showed 3.8 from 604 reviews when we checked. Hotel pages often use older or selective ratings, so rely on recent guest reviews. Individual experiences clearly differ, and a quiet midweek stay in the off season may feel quite unlike a packed holiday weekend.
Who should book it
It suits:
- families who want pools, a play area and activities in one place;
- couples and older travellers looking for a calm base with a view, who are happy to dine in the hotel;
- golfers, and groups holding a small event or retreat, given the banquet halls and amphitheatre.
It may not suit:
- travellers who expect international-standard maintenance at the higher room rates;
- anyone on a tight budget, when smaller hotels in Bhurban or Murree cost far less;
- visitors who want to be on the Mall Road in the evenings; Murree town is a drive away.
Ask for a recently renovated room, confirm which restaurants are open, and check cancellation terms because winter snow can close the road. Our Murree trip cost guide helps with the wider budget, and the travel guide covers planning the drive.
