Bhurban has one big resort, the Pearl Continental, and a short list of mid-range hotels and small lodges around it. Booking-site listings in 2026 put prices from under USD 50 a night for a simple lodge in the low season to well over USD 150 at the main resort in winter, and the gap between them is larger than the gap in comfort. Most visitors choose between the resort's facilities and the quiet of a smaller place that costs a fraction of the price.
This guide lays out the options, the rough price bands, what to check before booking a view, and when Bhurban is a better base than Murree town. It does not repeat what to do in the area, which is covered in our Bhurban guide.

The main resort: Pearl Continental Bhurban
The Pearl Continental is the only five-star hotel in the area and the reason many people come to Bhurban. The hotel lists 194 rooms, six restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, a gym, tennis and basketball courts, a cinema and a children's play area. It sits on Hotel Road, about 15 minutes from Murree and about 90 minutes from Islamabad according to the hotel.
Prices vary a lot by source and season. One booking site shows standard rooms from about USD 89 and deluxe rooms from about USD 160; Tripadvisor's guest-reported range for a standard room was USD 124 to 256. The cheapest month on one site was March and the dearest July. Treat these as a guide and compare the hotel's own rate with an agent's. Our separate Pearl Continental Bhurban review goes into rooms, activities and guest feedback.
Mid-range hotels and small resorts
Beyond the Pearl Continental, Tripadvisor lists around ten properties in Bhurban. The ones with the most guest reviews at the time of writing:
- Hotel One Bhurban, rated 4.4 out of 5 from 173 reviews, with breakfast included and rooms described as clean and comfortable.
- Chinar Family Resort, rated 3.8 from 14 reviews, with breakfast included.
- Himalaya Villas, rated 4.8 from 17 reviews, with mountain views.
A number of other lodges and guest houses carry perfect scores from one or two reviews. That tells you little, since a single review is not a record. For those, rely on recent photos, a phone call and a clear cancellation policy rather than the star rating.
Prices for these hotels were not listed consistently, but the same booking site gives a low-season average of about USD 45 a night across Bhurban and about USD 165 in the high season. Those averages blend every kind of property, so a mid-range hotel will usually sit between the two.
Budget lodges and guest houses
Small lodges and guest houses start from about USD 19 on one site, and individual listings elsewhere run from the thirties to the seventies. They suit couples and groups who spend the day out and want a clean bed. Check these before you pay:
- hot water and heating, which matter far more than air conditioning here;
- whether the room is on the road or the valley side;
- parking, because many small places have little and the slopes are steep;
- whether a generator covers load-shedding and winter outages;
- the exact approach road, since some guest houses sit down narrow lanes.
Choosing a room with a view
The view is the main thing you pay extra for, so it is worth being specific when you book.
- Ask for the valley side and confirm in writing. Resort listings separate valley-view and non-valley-view rooms, for example in the duplex suites.
- Ask which floor. Pine trees can block lower rooms.
- Ask for photos from the room, not the lobby or the garden.
- Ask what is in front of the window, such as a wall, a building or trees.
- Mist is part of the view. In monsoon and winter, cloud may cover the valley for days, so a view room is not a guaranteed picture.
Bhurban or Murree town?
Bhurban is quieter, greener and calmer than Murree's Mall Road, and you are staying on a ridge rather than in a busy bazaar. It is also less convenient: you will drive for dinner outside the resort and for most sightseeing. Murree town has the shopping and street food and costs less to stay in at the budget end. Our where to stay in Murree and family hotels in Murree guides compare the options. For overall costs, see our Murree trip cost guide.
For couples and older travellers who want a calm base, Bhurban makes sense. For groups of friends who want the Mall in the evening, stay in Murree.
Booking tips
- Book early for weekends, Eid and snow. Murree's weekend traffic can be heavy, and news reports from 2026 describe proof of an advance booking being asked for at Murree entry points at some peak times.
- Ask about cancellation before you pay, since weather can close roads.
- Confirm check-in time if you are arriving after a long drive.
- Prices change. Everything here is a rough guide from 2026 listings, not a quote.
