- The Pindi Point side. Leafy and considerably quieter than the Mall, about 15 minutes' walk from it, with hotels and guesthouses that look south-west towards Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Good for a stroll and dinner in town, then a quiet night away from the crowd.
- Bhurban. A resort ridge about 10 km east of Murree, calmer than the town itself, with forest around it and none of the Mall's noise. It is the priciest of the areas and needs a car for everything, but for many couples that trade-off is the whole point: somewhere to stay put.
- Lower Topa. On the Expressway a few kilometres below Murree, among pine forest, with resort hotels and easy parking. It suits couples who want space and quiet but still plan to spend some evenings in town.
Kashmir Point, in the upper part of town, is another quiet option and closer to the Mall on foot than Bhurban or Lower Topa, though the walk down and back up is a genuine climb. - Pindi Point at dusk. The view opens south-west over the hills towards Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and on a clear evening the lights of the twin cities spread out below. - Kashmir Point in the early morning. The walk up from the GPO takes 20 to 30 minutes past old houses and pine trees, and going up early rather than at midday means a mostly empty path and clear air, before the tea stalls fill with visitors.
- The Patriata chairlift. An open two-seat chairlift ride over pine forest, followed by an enclosed cable car to the top at around 2,300 metres. The best time for a honeymoon in Murree
April, October and November are the strongest months for a couple's trip. The weather is mild to warm, the air in autumn is at its clearest for the viewpoints, and the crowds of the summer school holidays and Eid have not arrived or have already gone. Rooms are also easier to find and prices lower outside the peak weeks.
May and June are the most comfortable weather of the year but also when the rush builds, since school summer holidays and, in some years, Eid al-Adha fall in this stretch. A midweek trip in early May, before the season is in full swing, is a good compromise.
A winter honeymoon in January, around a snowfall, has its own appeal, but it is the least private version of Murree: snow weekends bring the biggest crowds of the year, hotels fill fast, and for periods in 2026 tourists were only allowed in with a confirmed booking. - Treat Mall Road as an evening outing, not a base. Walk it, eat there, then return to a quieter hotel rather than staying in the middle of the busiest street in town.
