What does it cost just to get in?
The resort sells a general entry ticket, valid for one person for the day, at about PKR 2,100 on its online shop in 2026. That gets you into the grounds, but not onto any ride.
The important question is whether you need an entry ticket as well as your ride tickets, and the answer depends on where you buy. Bookme, which sells Malam Jabba tickets online, states that if you buy any activity ticket you do not need a separate entry pass. The resort's own shop, on the other hand, notes on some activities that resort entry is not included in the price. Before you pay, ask at the counter, or check the ticket description online, whether entry is included. On a family booking it can be the difference of several thousand rupees.
For comparison, in 2023 local press reported visitors being charged PKR 1,100 at the gate and PKR 1,400 for the chairlift. Prices have risen well beyond that since.
Chairlift tickets
The chairlift is about 800 metres long and runs up the ski slope. The resort's shop sells three types of chairlift ticket, from about PKR 1,500 to PKR 2,900:
- Standard, the ordinary ride
- Top station, a ticket tied to the upper station of the lift
- Fast track, which lets you skip the queue
Fast track is worth it only on a busy day, such as a summer weekend, Eid or the first sunny weekend after snow, when the queue can take much longer than the ride. On a quiet weekday it is money for nothing.
Zipline, giant swing and other rides
- The zipline runs from the ski slope down to the Pearl-Continental hotel, on two parallel lines, so two people can ride side by side. It is the most expensive single ride, at about PKR 3,500 to 4,500 in 2026.
- The giant swing costs about PKR 2,000.
- Both have a minimum age of 8, according to the resort's ticket listings.
Beyond those, there is a long list of smaller activities priced one by one: tubing, wall climbing, archery, a trampoline, a jumping castle for small children, VR games and horse riding, plus a slingshot ride. Bookme advertises Malam Jabba tickets from PKR 400, which gives an idea of the cheapest items. It also sells combined tickets, such as the chairlift with the giant swing, or the chairlift, giant swing and zipline together, which are worth comparing if you plan to do more than one ride.
What does skiing cost?
Skiing is the one thing at Malam Jabba you cannot price in advance. Lessons and equipment hire are arranged on site in the ski season, usually December to February when there is enough snow, and neither the resort nor Bookme listed prices for them online in 2026.
Bring enough cash to cover hire and a lesson for everyone who wants to try, and ask what the price includes before you agree to it: how long the lesson is, whether boots, skis and poles are all included, and whether the lesson is for one person or a group. Where and when to buy tickets
You can buy at the resort or online. The resort's online shop emails a ticket with a QR code, which you show at the gate. Bookme sells tickets for set date ranges and also issues them online.
Buying in advance saves time at the counter, but it ties you to a date, and at Malam Jabba the weather can change your plans. In winter especially, wait until you know the road is open.
The resort's website gives its opening hours as 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays and until 8 pm on Fridays, weekends and major holidays.
What does a family day cost?
A worked example, using the 2026 online prices, for two adults and two children aged 8 or over:
- Chairlift for four: about PKR 6,000 at the standard rate
- Zipline for two: about PKR 7,000
- Entry for four, if it is not included: about PKR 8,400
That comes to roughly PKR 13,000 if entry is included in the ride tickets, and over PKR 21,000 if it is not. The resort's shop showed no separate child rate in 2026, so budget for children at the adult price unless the counter tells you otherwise. Food at the resort and fuel for the climb from Mingora come on top.
Which tickets are worth it?
- The chairlift is worth it on a clear day. The ride and the view from the top are the best value at the resort. In thick cloud, which is common in the July and August monsoon, you see very little, so wait for a clear spell or skip it.
- The zipline is for the thrill, not the view. If someone in the group has been looking forward to it, it is a good ride. If not, it is the ticket to drop when the bill is adding up.
- Combined tickets make sense only if you were going to do each ride anyway.
- In winter, put the money into snow. When there is good cover, a sledge, a ski lesson or simply time on the slope gives children more than another ride.

Is it safe to visit Malam Jabba now?

However, on 2 August 2026 a suicide bomber attacked the Kabal police station in Swat during a peace rally, killing 17 people, and in September 2024 a roadside bomb on the Malam Jabba road killed a policeman escorting a convoy of foreign diplomats.
