The Lahore Marathon most people mean is the one held every February, starting at the Eiffel Tower replica in Bahria Town. The 2026 edition was on Sunday 15 February, with the full and half marathons starting at 6 am. There is also a separate Allied Bank Lahore Marathon, scheduled for Sunday 27 September 2026 at Liberty Roundabout, so check which race you are looking at before you register or book anything.
This guide sets out how the two events differ, the distances and timings, and how to plan a race weekend in the city.

Which Lahore Marathon is which?
The Lahore Marathon of the February race is organised by the Falcon Triathlon Club, a Lahore endurance-sport nonprofit. According to Wikipedia, an earlier Lahore Marathon was held in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2012, starting at Gaddafi Stadium and passing through the historic city. The Falcon club revived it, with editions on 25 February 2024, 16 February 2025 and 15 February 2026, all based in Bahria Town.
The Allied Bank Lahore Marathon is a separate event run by the bank. Its 2026 race was scheduled for 27 September at Liberty Roundabout, with full, half and 10 km distances and equal prize money for men and women, topping out at PKR 1,000,000 for the full marathon winner. Its registration page showed registration closed. Because it falls in September, it is a hot, humid race, unlike the February one.
We don't have confirmed dates for either event in 2027. February races have run in the middle of the month in 2025 and 2026, so that is the window to watch.
The February race: distances and timings
For the 2026 edition the organisers listed:
- Full marathon (42.195 km) and half marathon (21.0975 km) at 6 am
- 5 km race at 10 am
- Kids' fun run at 11:30 am
The full and half marathons and the 5 km each had their own route, both published on the race website. Race weekend also included a bib collection window on Friday evening, a shakeout run at 7 am on Saturday, and bib collection from 7 am to 8 pm on Saturday.
Timings and routes can change, so read the organiser's page for the year you plan to run.
How to register
For the February race, registration goes through the official Lahore Marathon website (lahore-marathon.com), which links to the registration page. The site we read did not list fees or cut-off times, and one listings site quoted dollar figures we could not verify, so we won't print a price. Check the current fee when registration opens.
For the Allied Bank race, use the bank's own page at abl.com; registration was closed when we looked.
Tips:
- Register early, and note that bib collection days are fixed.
- Check the organiser's rules on what ID you need to collect your bib.
- Book your stay near the start. For the February race, Bahria Town is a fair distance from the old city, so a hotel or guesthouse nearby saves a pre-dawn drive.
Race-weekend planning
Lahore is comfortable in February, and cool at 6 am, though it warms up by mid-morning. Our Lahore weather by month shows what to expect. For an early start in Bahria Town, arrange your transport the night before, since a 6 am start leaves little room for finding a ride.
If you are visiting for the race, give yourself a day either side. Lahore's food and heritage will suit a recovery day: our Lahore itinerary and our guide to the walled city are good places to start. Our Lahore hotel guide covers where to stay, and our experiences page has other events.
Is the Lahore Marathon worth travelling for?
If you already run, yes. The revived February race is a well-timed event in the best weather of the year, and there are shorter distances so friends and family can join in. The 5 km and kids' race make it workable for a family trip.
If you are not a runner, it is not a sightseeing event. It is also not a race through the Walled City: the older route through the historic city was the original race, not the current one.
