What do these temperatures feel like?
- 22 to 24 °C (January to March, December): Cool for anyone used to a Karachi summer. Fine for a quick dip in sun, but children and less confident swimmers get cold quickly, and the wind after leaving the water adds to it.
- 26 to 28 °C (April, August to November): Comfortable for most people, and easy to stay in for a long time.

Best time to swim in Karachi
Purely on warmth, May to November. In practice, October and November are the best-balanced months: the water is still around 26 to 28 °C, the air is easier than in May or June, and the sea is generally less rough than in the monsoon. That last point is a general seasonal pattern rather than something we can promise for a given day.
December to February suits those who like cooler water, with the advantage of comfortable air temperatures on the beach.
Why the warmest water is not always the best time
From roughly June to September, the southwest monsoon brings bigger waves and stronger currents to the coast. The Sindh government has repeatedly banned swimming at named beaches during this period, and some of Karachi's worst drowning incidents have happened in the hot months and on crowded holidays.
