Day 1: Old town, fish harbour and the beaches
Morning: Start in the old town around Shahi Bazaar, Gwadar's original centre, with its older buildings and everyday market life. This is a good first stop while the day is still cool.
Midday: Walk down to the fish harbour, close enough to combine with the old town, and watch the boats and the market from a respectful distance. It's busiest early, but there's still plenty to see through midday.
Afternoon: Visit the Gwadar Cricket Stadium, the ground beneath the limestone cliffs that made the town well known online; the main gate is generally open to visitors even without a match on. From there, head to West Bay beach along Marine Drive for the rest of the afternoon, Gwadar's main swimming beach and a good place to slow down after a morning on foot.

Day 2: Koh-e-Batil, then Jiwani for sunset
Morning: Go up to Koh-e-Batil, the hammerhead promontory, while it's still relatively cool. The climb and the road up are more comfortable earlier in the day, and the view over the isthmus and both bays is the best single sight in Gwadar. Midday: Rest through the hottest part of the day. This is also a sensible time to eat and to fill the car with fuel and water before the afternoon's longer drive.

Evening: The trade-off with a Jiwani sunset is the drive back: you'll be returning to Gwadar after dark, on a road where daylight travel is generally the safer advice. If you make this trip, drive back directly with no further stops, at a sensible pace, and let someone know your route and expected arrival time. If that doesn't sit well with your group, treat Jiwani as an optional third day instead, so the return drive happens in daylight, or skip it in favour of a second, more relaxed evening in Gwadar itself.
Timing tips
- Front-load the walking. Do the old town, the harbour and Koh-e-Batil in the morning, when the heat and the light both work in your favour.
- Keep the beach for the afternoon, when there's less reason to be moving around and more reason to sit still.
- Don't try to fit Jiwani into a rushed evening. It only works well with a full afternoon set aside for it, and it changes the shape of the whole day.
- Build in a buffer. Checkpoints, heat and the odd closed area are normal parts of a Gwadar day, and a tight schedule doesn't leave room for them.
