What is on Zamzama Boulevard?
It is a working commercial street rather than a pedestrian promenade. Along it and its side lanes you will find:
- Fashion: Pakistani designer boutiques and well-known clothing brands. Khaadi opened its first shop here in 1999.
- Accessories and lifestyle: shoes, jewellery, home and gift stores, florists.
- Food: bakeries, coffee chains, independent cafes and restaurants serving Pakistani and international food.
- Services: salons and small offices.
Shops come and go, so treat any list of stores as a starting point. Walking the length of the road and its neighbouring commercial lanes takes an hour or two, longer if you stop to eat.
Layout and Zamzama Park
Zamzama Boulevard runs from the end of Khayaban-e-Shaheen to Do Talwar (Two Swords), one of Clifton's best-known landmarks, with commercial lanes branching off it. Most of the smaller cafes and boutiques are on those side lanes, so don't stop at the main road.
Zamzama Park, a 26-acre park in the same part of DHA Phase 5, has jogging and walking tracks, a playground, a roller-blading enclosure and a refreshment stand. When to visit
Late afternoon into the evening is when cafes and restaurants fill and the street is lively. Weekends and the run-up to Eid are the busiest and traffic is heavy. Weekday afternoons are calmer if you want to browse. Individual shops set their own hours and days, and most open late in the morning, so confirm before a special trip.
Cafes and food
The street has a mix of chains and independent places, from coffee and pastries to full dinners. Choose by mood rather than by list: many people take a coffee break between shops, then have dinner nearby. Traffic congestion and limited parking are a regular complaint at peak hours. Ride-hailing apps are usually easier than driving, especially on weekend evenings. A simple half-day plan
- Late afternoon: park or get dropped near the boulevard and walk the main road, looking at the boutiques while the light is good.
- Early evening: walk the side lanes, where smaller shops and cafes are, and stop for coffee.
- After dark: have dinner nearby. Book ahead for weekends, since popular places fill quickly.
- Optional: if you have children, start at Zamzama Park instead and shop afterwards.
Prices in the boutiques are mid to high, and sale periods around the end of a season are when the discounts appear. Most shops accept cards, but it helps to carry some cash for parking and small purchases.
