Qissa Khwani Bazaar after dark
The old storytellers' bazaar is a shopping street by day and, in the evening, a food street. Stalls and small restaurants serve grilled meat, chapli kebab, Kabuli pulao and fried fish, and street food is sold from early morning until late at night.

Namak Mandi
Namak Mandi, behind Qissa Khwani, is the city's best-known meat street. About 50 shops sell mutton karahi and charcoal-grilled tikka cooked in animal fat, and the cooler weather of autumn and winter is when it is busiest. A meal was reported at about PKR 1,800 to 2,000 per person in September 2026.

Khyber Bazaar
Khyber Bazaar is another old-city place for traditional Peshawari food, including paye (slow-cooked trotters) and lamb karahi. Paye is mainly a morning dish, so an evening visit means karahi and grills instead.
Tip: treat it as a food stop rather than a place to wander, and keep to the busy main road.
Parks in the evening
Two parks are reported open until about 10 pm: Bagh-e-Naran in Hayatabad (about 8 am to 10 pm) and Jinnah Park near the Bala Hisar Fort on GT Road, which sources list as open until 10 pm. Hours change, and sources differ, so check before going.
