Pakistan's home cricket series for 2026 are all in Rawalpindi and Lahore, between 9 October and 21 November: three T20Is against Sri Lanka (Pakistan won 2-1), an ODI tri-series with England and Sri Lanka from 18 to 31 October, and two Tests against Sri Lanka in November. New Zealand are listed for two Tests in March 2027, but no dates or venues have been announced. Tickets are sold one series at a time on the PCB's portal and then at TCS Express Centres, and the cheapest seats this autumn cost PKR 200 to 400.

This guide puts the whole season on one page: what is left to watch from 26 October, what each enclosure costs, how buying works, what you can take through the gate, and how to move between the two cities if you want to follow the team. The grounds themselves have their own guides: Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium.

What is on, and when?

The schedule was announced on 19 August 2026 by the PCB and England's ECB, and the fixture order below is the one the ECB and ICC published.

The T20Is are finished. Pakistan won the first two by four wickets and by 82 runs, and Sri Lanka took the third by eight wickets on 13 October, with Kusal Mendis making 87 not out. Results from 18 October onwards are best followed on the PCB and ESPNcricinfo sites; this guide is about getting to the games, not keeping score.

The tri-series is six round-robin ODIs, with each side playing the other two twice, and the top two meet in the final. Pakistan being in the 31 October final is therefore not guaranteed. England's squad, named on 1 October, is captained by Harry Brook and includes Joe Root, Adil Rashid and Sam Curran; Jos Buttler is out with a hamstring injury and Jofra Archer has been rested.

The two Tests count towards the 2025-27 World Test Championship, and so do the New Zealand Tests. For the three-day match in Islamabad, the reports named neither the ground nor the opposition, and nothing has been said about public entry. For New Zealand, only the month and the number of Tests are published so far, so do not book anything around them yet.

Which match should you go to?

From 26 October the choice is between three ODIs in Lahore and two Tests. They suit different people.

MatchDayCheapest seatBest for
Pakistan v Sri Lanka, 27 OctTuesdayPKR 200Seeing Pakistan at the lower price band
Sri Lanka v England, 29 OctThursdayPKR 200Families and first-timers; likely the calmest crowd
Final, 31 OctSaturdayPKR 400Anyone happy to gamble on who plays
First Test, RawalpindiMonday to FridayPKR 200People who can take a day off work
Second Test, LahoreTuesday to SaturdayPKR 200The only Test with a weekend day, if it lasts

The final is the hardest call. It is on a Saturday, it is the dearest match of the series, and the finalists are only settled when the table is complete after the 29 October game, unless earlier results decide it. If seeing Pakistan is the point, the 27 October match is the safer buy.

The Tests are the value of the season. At both grounds the VIP, Premium, First Class and General enclosures all cost PKR 200, so choosing General saves nothing: buy the best enclosure still available. The Rawalpindi Test falls entirely on weekdays. In Lahore, day five is Saturday 21 November, but a Test can finish inside four days, so do not build a weekend plan around the last day alone. Days one to three are the safe choice.

The fixture list we found shows the tri-series ODIs as day/night games starting at 1 pm Pakistan time, which puts the second innings under lights and the finish late in the evening. No second source confirmed that time, so trust the one printed on your ticket.

What do tickets cost?

Prices are set match by match. These are the October 2026 prices as published by ARY News on 1 October and ProPakistani on 2 October, with the Lahore breakdown from later sale reports. They change with every series.

For the final, the PKR 400 starting price and PKR 22,000 top price were widely reported; the bands in between come from a single published list, so check them on the portal. In Rawalpindi the tri-series ran from PKR 200 to PKR 25,000 for the Platinum box.

The reports give one price per enclosure without saying whether it covers a single day, so check what you are buying when the sale opens. For comparison, the October T20Is cost PKR 300 to 1,000 in the public enclosures for the first two games and PKR 200 to 800 for the third. The pattern holds across the season: Pakistan games and finals cost most, neutral games and Tests least.

How do you buy tickets?

  1. The PCB announces prices and sale dates. This autumn it did so on 1 October for all three series at once, but left the Test sale date to be announced.
  2. Online sale opens first, on pcb.tcs.com.pk, at 3 pm on the stated day: Saturday 3 October for the T20Is and Saturday 10 October for the tri-series.
  3. Physical tickets follow at designated TCS Express Centres in the host cities a few days later: from 5 October for the T20Is and 14 October for the tri-series. The centres are named separately by the PCB.
  4. Mind the limit. Reports of the tri-series sale give a maximum of five tickets per CNIC, with identity details entered at purchase. Take the same original CNIC to the ground.

As of mid-October, the Test sale date had not been announced. The T20I sale opened six days before the first game and the tri-series sale eight days before, so we would expect Test tickets in the first days of November, but that is our reading of the pattern, not an announcement.

Buy only from the portal or a TCS centre. A ticket bought anywhere else may not scan at the gate, and there is no one to complain to. The published price lists include no child or concession rate, so ask at the TCS centre before assuming a small child can go in without a ticket.

What can you take through the gate?

The PCB issues entry rules for each event, and we found none published specifically for this series by mid-October. The most recent full set, for the PSL 11 final at Gaddafi on 3 May 2026, is the best guide to what to expect:

  • Required: your original CNIC and a valid ticket, printed or digital. The PCB said nobody would be admitted without both.
  • Not allowed: AirPods and other hands-free devices, power banks, bottles of any kind, cameras and outside food.
  • Allowed: Pakistani flags.

Earlier match rules have also barred lighters, matches, cigarettes, knives and fireworks, as Dawn reported for PSL games in Karachi in 2024, when the gates were opened three hours before the start. Expect more than one search between the road and your seat.

In practice: charge your phone fully, because the power bank stays behind, and bring a cap, your wallet, your CNIC and the ticket. Leave bags in the car or the hotel. On a day/night ODI that is a long time without a charger, so agree a meeting point with your group before you go in.

How do match days work in each city?

Rawalpindi

For the October matches, Rawalpindi traffic police closed Stadium Road from the 9th Avenue junction to Double Road Chowk in both directions during play, and held Murree Road traffic briefly while the teams moved. Spectator parking was at three sites: the Civil Aviation Ground and Shahbaz Sharif Park, both near Shaheen Chowk, and Government Graduate College in Satellite Town. Updates went out on CTP Rawalpindi's social media and FM 88.6.

Security is heavy. For the first T20I, APP reported about 6,000 police on security and traffic duty, with snipers on rooftops and Safe City cameras watching the area. No separate plan for the Test had been published by mid-October; expect something similar, with a smaller daytime crowd.

Lahore

For the Pakistan v Australia ODIs at Gaddafi in June 2026, Lahore traffic police said no roads would be closed during matches, only stopped briefly for team convoys. Parking was at Government College for Boys in Gulberg and near the Sunfort Hotel and Liberty Market, and updates came through the Rasta app, Rasta FM 88.6 and Helpline 15. A fresh plan is issued for each series, so check it the day before.

The Lahore Metrobus has a Qaddafi Stadium station on Ferozepur Road, but its published hours are 6 am to 10 pm. A day/night ODI can finish close to that, so arrange a driver or keep a ride-hailing app ready for the way back.

How do you get between Rawalpindi and Lahore?

The season is built around this move. The ODIs went from Rawalpindi to Lahore, and the Tests do the same, with three clear days between them, Saturday 14 to Monday 16 November. We measured the road routes stadium to stadium with OSRM routing; the rail distance is the main-line figure.

OptionDistanceTimeNotes
Car on the M-2 motorwayAbout 375 kmAbout 4.5 to 5 hours with one stopTolled, divided, the most predictable
Car on GT Road (N-5)About 290 kmSlower than it looksRuns through Jhelum, Gujrat and Gujranwala
TrainAbout 290 kmAbout 4.5 to 5 hoursMain line via Jhelum and Gujranwala
Intercity coachUses the M-2Similar to driving, plus terminal timeDaewoo Express and other operators

OSRM's free-flow estimate for GT Road is under four hours, but it does not account for town traffic, and the motorway is the better choice for most people. Our Lahore to Islamabad motorway guide covers tolls and service areas. Pakistan Railways' Lahore to Rawalpindi expresses take roughly four and a half to five hours; check the current timetable and book ahead for a Saturday.

If you want both Tests, a workable plan is:

  1. Monday 9 to Wednesday 11 November: the first three days in Rawalpindi, the safe days of any Test.
  2. Thursday 12 and Friday 13: stay on only if the match is alive.
  3. Saturday 14: travel to Lahore, leaving in the morning.
  4. Sunday 15 and Monday 16: Lahore itself. Test cricket is a daytime game, so your evenings are free; if the Walled City authority's new 7 pm to 11 pm opening at Lahore Fort has started by then, it fits well after a day at Gaddafi.
  5. Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19: the first three days of the Lahore Test.

Is it worth going, and is it safe?

For anyone living in or near Rawalpindi or Lahore, a PKR 200 Test day in the VIP enclosure is hard to beat for value. The ODIs are louder and more of an occasion, and the final is the event of the autumn, but you pay more and travel home late. Our experiences page has more ideas for building a trip around Pakistan's culture.

It suits groups of friends and families with older children. It suits less well anyone who struggles with long walks and queues, because parking is away from both grounds and there are several checks, and families with small children at a day/night game that ends after the Metrobus has stopped. For them, a weekday Test session in a quiet enclosure is the gentle way in.

On safety: Pakistani fans attend in large numbers, and the policing around both grounds is what has kept them open to crowds. The UK's Pakistan travel advice, updated on 13 October 2026 to add emergency measures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, does not advise against travel to Rawalpindi, Islamabad or Lahore, but it asks visitors to take care around crowds, rallies and tourist sites in cities. Visitors from abroad should read their own government's advice, since travelling against it can void insurance, and everyone should check local news the day before.

The Lahore Test also falls in smog season. A full day outdoors in poor air is hard on children and anyone with asthma, so check the air quality the evening before and carry a mask; our guide to Lahore smog explains how.

Frequently asked questions

When is Pakistan's next home cricket series?

After the T20Is and the ODI tri-series in October 2026, Pakistan play two Tests against Sri Lanka: 9 to 13 November in Rawalpindi and 17 to 21 November at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. New Zealand are listed for two Tests in March 2027, with dates not yet announced.

Where can I buy tickets for the Pakistan v Sri Lanka Tests?

From the PCB's portal, pcb.tcs.com.pk, and then at designated TCS Express Centres. The PCB said the Test sale date would be announced later; it had not been by mid-October.

How much are Test tickets in Rawalpindi and Lahore?

PKR 200 for the VIP, Premium, First Class and General enclosures at both grounds. The PCB Gallery in Rawalpindi is PKR 800, and boxes cost PKR 8,000 in Rawalpindi and PKR 5,000 in Lahore.

Will Pakistan play in the tri-series final?

Only if they finish in the top two of the six-match round robin. The final is on Saturday 31 October at Gaddafi Stadium, and its line-up is settled once the last group game on 29 October is played.

Do I need my CNIC to enter the stadium?

Yes. For the PSL 11 final the PCB required an original CNIC as well as a valid ticket, and tri-series tickets were limited to five per CNIC. Carry the original card, not a photocopy.

What time do the matches start?

The fixture list we found gives 1 pm Pakistan time for the tri-series ODIs, which are day/night games, but confirm it on your ticket. Test start times had not been announced by mid-October.
