Gaddafi Stadium Lahore: Match Tickets, Parking, How to Reach

Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore is Pakistan's main international cricket ground and the home of Lahore Qalandars. Match tickets are sold online through the PCB and TCS ticketing portal and in person at TCS Express Centres, and prices depend heavily on the match: the general enclosures were PKR 1,500 for the PSL 11 final in 2026, against PKR 1,000 for many Champions Trophy group games in 2025. The ground is not a sightseeing venue, so you go on match days.

This guide covers how buying works, what each enclosure costs, how parking and the Metrobus are handled on match days, and what to bring. Ticket rules are set by the PCB for every event, so always check the current announcement for your match.

About Gaddafi Stadium

The stadium opened in 1959 and sits in Gulberg, close to Main Boulevard and Ferozepur Road. It also houses the headquarters of the Pakistan Cricket Board. It was rebuilt for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, with a new pavilion, re-profiled general enclosures and new lighting, and reopened in February 2025 with a capacity of over 27,000, up from 21,500.

It hosted matches at that Champions Trophy, including a semi-final, and stages Pakistan Super League games every season. The 2026 PSL final was scheduled to be played there, alongside the opening match.

How to buy Gaddafi Stadium tickets

Tickets are released for each event, not sold all year. There is no general daily ticket office for casual visitors.

1. Watch for the PCB announcement. The board announces the sale dates for each PSL or international series.
2. Buy online. For PSL 11 tickets were sold through the PCB and TCS portal at pcb.tcs.com.pk.
3. Or buy in person. Physical tickets go on sale at designated TCS Express Centres, and for the PSL 11 final these opened a day after online sales, at 18 centres in Lahore.
4. Bring the right ID. ID rules are set for each event, and we could not confirm the current requirement, so carry your CNIC and follow the announcement.

Semi-finals and finals sell out quickly. Tickets from unofficial sellers outside the ground are a risk, so buy only from official channels.

Ticket prices by enclosure

The PCB priced the PSL 11 final (2026) roughly as follows:

League games, international matches and finals are priced differently. For the 2025 Champions Trophy, the minimum ticket was PKR 1,000 for some matches and PKR 2,500 for the semi-finals, with premium categories above that. Prices change, so use these figures only as a guide.

Parking and match-day traffic

For PSL 10 in 2025, the Lahore traffic police announced designated parking zones with shuttle services to the stadium, 600 traffic wardens, and the removal of illegally parked vehicles. They said no major roads would be permanently closed, and listed Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, Ferozepur Road and Main Boulevard Gulberg as staying open. Similar plans usually accompany later matches, but details and zones are announced afresh each time.

What that means for you:

• Do not drive up to the gate. Look for the announced parking zones and take the shuttle.
• Arrive early, ideally several hours before a big game, because security checks take time.
• Expect diversions near the stadium on the night, even if main roads remain open.
• Follow the police notice for that specific match, as it overrides anything written here.

How to reach Gaddafi Stadium

The Metrobus has a station named Qaddafi Stadium, on the line between Canal and Kalma Chowk, so it is one of the easiest ways in. Our guide to the Lahore Metrobus lists the stops around it. A sensible match-day plan

1. Buy early and check the details. Confirm the enclosure, gate and start time on your ticket a day before.
2. Leave much earlier than you think. Give yourself extra time for traffic, the shuttle and security queues, particularly for an evening game.
3. Fix a meeting point. Phone networks can be slow in a crowd, so agree where the group will meet if you are separated.
4. Plan the exit. Decide before the last over whether you will walk out to the Metrobus, wait for the crowd to thin, or head to a ride pick-up further away.
5. Eat nearby afterwards. Gulberg has plenty of restaurants, and leaving a little later avoids the worst of the traffic.

What to bring and what to leave

• Your ticket, printed or on your phone, and your ID.
• Cash for food, water and small purchases.
• A hat or cap and sunscreen for day games, and a light jacket for winter evenings.
• Leave large bags and unnecessary valuables in your hotel. Stadium security rules are set by the PCB and police for each event, so check the announcement for restricted items.

Is it worth going to a match?

A live match at Gaddafi is one of the best-value big-event experiences in Lahore, and the general enclosures are relatively inexpensive. It suits cricket fans, groups of friends and visitors who want to see the city at its loudest. Plan ahead, because tickets can be hard to get.

It suits less well anyone who is uncomfortable in dense crowds, families with very young children, or visitors who only want to see the building, since there is no regular public tour that we could confirm.
