• Book hotels in advance and get the rate in writing, especially around a snow forecast or a long weekend, when rooms are hardest to find and prices move fastest.
• Buy snow chains in Islamabad or Rawalpindi rather than in Murree once snow is falling, when prices in the hills rise sharply.
