Rahim Yar Khan has a small but workable hotel scene, centred on the city's Club Road area, with a handful of mid-range hotels and a long tail of budget guest houses. Booking sites in 2026 showed rooms from roughly PKR 6,000 for the cheapest listings, with the better-rated mid-range hotels more often between PKR 10,000 and 20,000 a night. Prices move with the season and the day of the week, so use these as a guide only.

This post is a decision guide, not a review. We have not stayed in these hotels; the notes below come from booking-site listings and guest ratings, which change. For what to see once you are there, our guide to places to visit in Rahim Yar Khan covers Bhong Mosque and the Cholistan edge.

What kind of hotels does Rahim Yar Khan have?

Most visitors are on business or in transit between Multan and Sindh, so the hotels lean towards practical rooms, a restaurant and parking rather than resort-style grounds. You will find three groups.

  • Branded mid-range hotels, such as Hotel One on Club Road, which a hotel-booking page showed from about USD 22 (about PKR 6,000) at the lowest and up to roughly USD 70 on busy dates.
  • Independent mid-range hotels with event halls and buffets, where the draw is the restaurant as much as the room.
  • Budget hotels and guest houses, where quality is uneven and recent reviews matter more than the star count.

Hotels that come up most often

These are the names that appear repeatedly on Tripadvisor, Wego and other booking sites. Check the current listing before you rely on any of them.

  • Hotel One Rahim Yar Khan, Club Road. The most consistently well-rated of the lot, with breakfast included and a score of about 4.8 out of 5 on Tripadvisor and 9.3 on Wego. It is also the most expensive of the regular names.
  • Golden Sand Hotel. Rated 8.9 on Wego from a couple of hundred reviews, with prices quoted from around USD 32 (about PKR 9,000).
  • Royal Desert Palm Hotel (Desert Palm). A larger hotel with event facilities and hi-tea buffets; ratings are more mixed, around 3.3 out of 5 on Tripadvisor and 8.6 on Wego. Listings start from about USD 54.
  • Etihad Club by Faletti's. Reviewed mainly for its restaurant and barbecue.
  • Hotel Faran, Al Noor Hotel and Sawar Hotel. Budget options. Hotel Faran was listed from about USD 19.
  • Royal Castle Guest House. A guest house with a low Wego score (4.0), so read the latest comments first.

Ratings from a few reviews, such as the perfect scores some small hotels carry, tell you little. Prefer places with hundreds of reviews.

How much should you budget?

For a double room, a sensible 2026 planning range is:

TypeRough price per night
Budget guest housePKR 6,000 to 10,000
Mid-range hotelPKR 10,000 to 20,000
Top of the local rangeAbove PKR 20,000 on busy dates

Booking sites showed prices from roughly PKR 10,400 to 15,800 as the "from" figure on different pages, and dollar prices from USD 19 to 70. Weekends and event dates cost more. Rooms booked directly by phone are sometimes cheaper, so ask.

Choosing where to stay

Stay central if you have a driver or a rickshaw budget. Club Road puts you in the city centre, where restaurants and taxis are easiest to find.

Pick a hotel with parking and a generator if you drive. Southern Punjab summers are hot, and a hotel that runs air conditioning on its own supply makes a real difference from May to September.

Ask about breakfast and early check-in. If you arrive by an overnight train or bus, early check-in can be the deciding factor. Several of the mid-range hotels include breakfast.

Book ahead in the cooler months. September to November is described as the high season on Tripadvisor.

Is Rahim Yar Khan a good base?

It works as a one or two night stop. The city is the gateway for Bhong Mosque and Pattan Minara, and an overnight break on the long drive between Multan and Karachi. The hotels are fine for that purpose, but few visitors plan a longer stay.

If you are coming from Multan, our where to stay in Multan guide covers the other end of the route. For wider planning, see our travel guide.
